Sailing day works backwards from one deadline. A ship does not wait, and boarding closes well before departure. Your transfer is timed against your assigned check-in window rather than the sailing time itself, so you arrive inside it rather than joining the crush at the end. We would rather collect you earlier than leave the margin thin.

Luggage is the real difference from a flight. Cruise passengers pack for a fortnight, not a weekend, and there is no airline weight limit to hold them back — large cases, formal wear carriers, sometimes a mobility aid or a stroller. That is why the vehicle class here should be chosen by boot space first: two cases fit a sedan, a family of four with a case each needs an SUV, and multi-family groups belong in a van. Your chauffeur helps load at the door and hands the bags to the porters at the terminal.

Coming home is the messier half. Every passenger disembarks over the same couple of hours, so the kerb outside a terminal at 9am is nobody's favourite place to negotiate a ride. Your car is booked in advance against the ship's arrival, which we monitor, and waiting caused by a late berth is not charged as your delay.

Travelling with family. Cruises skew towards families and multi-generational parties, which usually means car seats, grandparents, and more bags than people. Tell us the ages and the case count when you reserve and the right vehicle is assigned; child and booster seats are available on request.

Flying in before you sail. Landing and boarding on the same day leaves no slack, which is why many passengers fly in the night before and stay over. Either way the airport leg is booked the same way — see JFK, LaGuardia or Newark for how each arrival works, or our airport transfer service for the overview. Cape Liberty sailings pair naturally with Newark; the Manhattan and Brooklyn terminals suit any of the three.

Hotel nights either side. A pre-cruise night in the city, or a few days afterwards before flying home, turns one transfer into three or four. Guests staying in Manhattan can set those up alongside their hotel transportation, and if you want the car on hand for sightseeing between the hotel and the ship, book it by the hour instead.

Groups sailing together. Family reunions, clubs and company charters travel better in one vehicle than five. Vehicle capacities are listed on the fleet page, larger movements are handled through corporate travel when a company is paying, and you can reserve online or talk it through with us if the party is split across several pickups.

KNOWLEDGE BASE

Cruise Transfer Questions

What cruise ports do you service?
We service all three NYC-area cruise ports: Manhattan Cruise Terminal (711 12th Ave), Brooklyn Cruise Terminal (72 Bowne St), and Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, NJ. Book your port transfer.
How far in advance should I book port transfer?
Two to four weeks ahead of your sailing date is sensible, and earlier again through the busy May to September season or if you need a van for a group. Book it when you book the cruise and it is one less thing to remember. Check availability.
Do you track cruise ship arrival times?
Yes. We follow your ship's position and move the pickup to match the actual berthing time, so a late arrival does not leave your car waiting on the original schedule. Give us the ship name and sailing date when you reserve.
What happens if my cruise returns late?
We track all returning ships. No charges for waiting time due to ship delays. Contact us with any changes.
Will my cruise luggage fit?
Cases for a two-week sailing are bigger than airline luggage and there is no weight limit pushing you to pack light, so choose by boot space: 2-3 cases in a sedan, 5-6 in an SUV, 12-14 in a Sprinter van, and more again in a coach. If it looks marginal, take the larger class. Compare vehicles.
Do you provide meet-and-greet at the port?
Yes. On your return your chauffeur meets you in the terminal arrivals area with a name sign and takes the cases from there, rather than leaving you to find the vehicle among the disembarkation crowd. Learn about our service.
Can you transport from airport to cruise port?
Yes, and it is a common booking — from JFK, LaGuardia or Newark straight to the terminal, and the reverse at the end of the sailing. Send us the flight and the ship together so both are allowed for.
What if my sailing is cancelled or rescheduled?
Cancellation windows depend on your vehicle class: 24 hours for Executive Sedan, Premium Sedan, Luxury SUV and Premium SUV; 48 hours for Sprinter Van and Exotic Sedan; 72 hours for Limousine and Coaches & Buses. Cancellations after the window are charged in full. See our Cancellation Policy. If your sailing date simply moves, we can usually shift the booking instead. Let us know.
Do you offer child seats for port transfers?
Yes, complimentary child and booster seats available. Request when booking.
Are your vehicles cleaned and sanitized?
Yes. All vehicles undergo thorough cleaning before and after every passenger. Learn about our standards.
