US Open 2026 — What to Know
The US Open returns to Flushing Meadows for its longest edition yet. Knowing when you travel matters as much as knowing where you sit — arrival roads around the park behave very differently on a quiet Fan Week afternoon than they do on finals weekend.
Session times and the order of play are published by the tournament and can change with weather or match length. Please confirm your session before booking a return time. Velora is an independent chauffeur company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official supplier to the USTA or the US Open.

Getting to Flushing Meadows
The tennis center sits in Corona Park, reached from the Grand Central Parkway, the Van Wyck Expressway and the Long Island Expressway. All three carry heavy tournament traffic in the hour before a session begins, and again the moment a night session empties.
On-site parking is limited and the lots fill early on the busiest days. A chauffeured car sidesteps the parking question entirely: you are set down close to the gates, and your return car is arranged rather than hunted for at eleven at night alongside twenty thousand other people.
Timed to Your Session
We plan pickup around your session and the roads on that specific day, not a generic estimate. Evening sessions and finals weekend are treated differently to a weekday afternoon.
No Parking, No Queue
Door-to-door drop-off and a pre-arranged return. Nothing to park, nothing to pay at a lot, and no walk back through the park after a late finish.
Your Chauffeur, Not an App
The same chauffeur and vehicle for the journey, reachable directly. No surge pricing when a night session ends and the whole park calls a car at once.
How Your Match Day Runs
Pickup
From your hotel, home, office or airport. Your chauffeur confirms before setting out and meets you at the door.
Drop-off
Set down at the closest point the day’s traffic plan allows, with directions to your gate.
Between Sessions
Book by the hour and keep the car and chauffeur on hand if you are staying in the area between matches.
Late Finish
Matches run long. Tell us your session and we plan the return around it rather than a fixed clock time.
Choosing Your Vehicle
Match a vehicle to your party rather than to a category. Two people with light bags and a corporate group of twelve need very different cars for the same trip.
Full specifications and passenger counts are on the fleet page. If you are unsure, tell us the group size and we will suggest the right vehicle.
Executive Sedan
One to three guests. The straightforward choice for a couple travelling in from a Manhattan hotel for an afternoon session.
Luxury SUV
Up to six guests with room to spare. Popular for families and for groups who want space on the ride back.
Mercedes Sprinter
Up to fourteen guests in one vehicle, so a corporate party or extended family arrives together. See the Sprinter service.

Manhattan Hotels
Midtown, Upper East Side and Downtown. The most common US Open journey we run, in both directions. See hotel transportation.
hotel transportation →The Airports
Arriving for the tournament from JFK, LaGuardia or Newark, with flight monitoring on arrivals.
JFK →Long Island
Nassau and Suffolk guests travelling in for a session and home the same night. See Long Island car service.
Long Island car service →Westchester & New Jersey
Tri-State guests and corporate parties travelling across state lines for evening sessions.
Corporate & Hospitality Groups
The US Open is a client-entertainment fixture as much as a sporting one. If you are hosting, the transport is part of the impression: guests collected from their own addresses, brought in together, and taken home individually afterwards.
We can run several vehicles on one reservation, hold cars between sessions, and bill the whole arrangement to a company account rather than to individual guests. Details on corporate travel and group transportation.
US Open Transport Questions
When is the US Open in 2026?
The 2026 US Open runs from Sunday 23 August to Sunday 13 September at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens. Fan Week runs 23 to 29 August, the main draw begins on 30 August, and the singles finals are played on 12 and 13 September.
Where does the car drop me off?
Your chauffeur sets you down at the closest point the day's traffic plan allows and directs you to your gate. Drop-off arrangements around the park change between sessions and on finals weekend, so we confirm the plan with you on the day.
Can the chauffeur wait during the match?
Yes. Book by the hour and the car and chauffeur stay with you for the session. If you prefer, we can release the car and return for a scheduled pickup instead.
What happens if the match runs late?
Tennis rarely finishes to a timetable. Tell us which session you are attending and we plan the return around the session rather than a fixed clock time, so a five-set match does not leave you stranded.
How many passengers can travel together?
Up to three in an executive sedan, up to six in a luxury SUV, and up to fourteen in a Mercedes Sprinter. Larger parties can be covered by running more than one vehicle on a single reservation.
Do you collect from the airports for the tournament?
Yes. We cover JFK, LaGuardia and Newark, with flight monitoring on arrivals so the car is there when you land rather than when you were scheduled to.
Can you take us from a Manhattan hotel?
Hotel pickups in Midtown, the Upper East Side and Downtown are the most common US Open journeys we run. Your chauffeur meets you at the hotel entrance.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you can for finals weekend and evening sessions, which are the busiest periods of the tournament. Booking ahead also secures the specific vehicle class you want rather than whatever is left.
Do you handle corporate hospitality groups?
Yes. We can run several vehicles on one reservation, collect guests from their own addresses, hold cars between sessions and bill to a company account. See our corporate travel and group transportation pages.
How is the fare worked out?
Enter your journey and you will see the fare before you commit. Some vehicles and longer itineraries are quoted rather than priced instantly, in which case our reservations team confirms the figure with you.
